RHINOPLASTY (Nose Job)

What Is Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty is reshaping of the nose. It may involve changing the shape and/or the size of the top or the tip of the nose, or both. Common problems are a bony hump on the top, a prominent tip or the nose bent to one side. Some people have difficulty breathing following an injury or because of a bend in the septum (midline) of the nose. They require a procedure called a septorhinoplasty where both the septum and the outside of the nose are corrected.

Which type is suitable for you?

This will depend on the features of your nose and what you wish for. At the consultation, after examining your nose, I will explain the different aspects of correction to you.

Initial consultation

At the initial consultation I will perform a thorough examination and will have a detailed discussions about the different types of nose surgery and what is most suitable for you. I will explain the procedure and recovery in full details including possible complications. I will make sure you understand everything and answer all your questions.

The fee for the initial consultation is 100. I do not charge for any subsequent clinic appointments, before or after surgery.

Details of the operation

Most nose jobs can be done through cuts on the inside of the nose so that there are no scars on the outside. Sometimes a piece of cartilage graft is necessary, which is commonly taken from inside the nose. Occasionally a small piece of cartilage is taken from the ear without affecting the shape of the ear.

You will have packs in the nostrils which will be removed the morning after surgery. There will be a small splint on the outside for a week.

Recovery

You will stay at the hospital for a night. There may be some bruising in the first few days, but pain is uncommon.

The first week should be taken easy. Most activities can be resumed after two weeks. Strenuous activities and going to the gym should be avoided for the first four to six weeks.

Complications

All surgical procedures carry a small risk of complications. After a nose job there are small chances of bleeding, infection, minor asymmetry between the two sides, overcorrection or under correction. I will discuss these in details with you at the consultation.

Guide Price

Starting from 2650. This will depend on what correction is needed and which hospital you are treated in. The price includes the hospital fees, anaesthetist fees, the surgeon fees and all post-operative care including the dressing changes and consultations after the operation.

0% finance is available, arranged by the hospitals. Please ask for details.

FACELIFT

What is a facelift?

Facelift is tightening of the tissues of the face to remove excess tissue and to give you a more youthful appearance. With age and gravity the skin, muscles and other tissue of the face and neck can stretch and lose their elasticity. A facelift reverses part of these changes.

What are the types?

There are many types of facelift. The common type (a 'standard facelift') is where through cuts within the hairline and around the ear, excess skin is removed and the underlying tissues are tightened to provide a long-lasting correction.

I also perform a 'mini facelift'. This is a much quicker procedure, done under local anaesthesia (numbing injection). The recovery is very quick and it costs considerably less. However, as you would expect, the effects do not last as long as a 'standard' facelift.

Which type is suitable for you?

It depends on your tissue and skin type, and also on what degree of correction you want and how quickly you want to get back to normal activities. At your consultation I will examine you and explain the different techniques and their advantages in details.

Initial consultation

At the initial consultation I will perform a thorough examination and will have a detailed discussion about the different types of surgery and what is most suitable for you. I will explain the procedure and recovery in full details including possible complications. I will make sure you understand everything and answer all your questions.

The fee for the initial consultation is 100. I do not charge for any subsequent clinic appointments, before or after surgery.

Details of the operation

A 'standard' facelift is performed under general anaesthesia (you will be asleep). Cuts are made on each side within the hairline and around the ear, excess skin is removed and the underlying tissues are tightened to provide a long-lasting correction.

For a 'mini' facelift, cuts are placed within the sideburn area. Some excess skin is removed and tissues underneath tightened. This is done under local anaesthesia, with numbing injections.

Frequently other procedures, such as eyelid surgery, can be combined.

Recovery

You will stay in the hospital typically for one night (for a 'standard' facelift). There will be fine tubes for drainage of any blood or fluid. These drains will come out the next morning. There will also be a bandage from your head to chin, supporting the cheeks.

There is usually some swelling and bruising that take a week or two to disappear. Any strenuous activity should be avoided for 4-6 weeks.

Complications

All surgical procedures carry a small risk of complications. For a facelift operation the complications can be bleeding, infection, slow healing, lumpy scar, a small risk of nerve damage and minor asymmetry.

I will explain these in detail at the time of the consultation.

Guide Price

Starting from 1800, depending on the extent of the surgery and the hospital you are treated in. This price includes the hospital fees, anaesthetist fees, the surgeon fees and all post-operative care including the dressing changes and consultations after the operation.

0% finance is available, arranged by the hospitals. Please ask for details.

EYELID SURGERY (Blepharoplasty)

What is eyelid surgery?

Eyelid surgery involves removing excess folds of skin (and fat) from the upper eyelids and the bag under the eyes. This improves the tired look from the eyes and gives you a more youthful appearance.

Initial consultation

At the initial consultation I will perform a thorough examination and explain what technique is suitable for you. I will explain the procedure and recovery in full details including possible complications. I will also make sure you understand everything and answer. The fee for the initial consultation is 100. I do not charge for any subsequent clinic appointments, before or after surgery.

Details of the operation

This is normally done under local anaesthesia (by numbing injections) but can be done under general anaesthesia if you prefer. You will be able to go home after the procedure is finished.

Recovery

There may be a small degree of swelling and bruising after the procedure for a few days, but I will advise you about how to minimise that. We will remove the fine stitches after 5-7 days. You should avoid any strenuous activities for about two weeks.

Possible complications

All surgical procedures carry a small risk of complications. For eyelid surgery the complications can be bleeding, infection, slow healing. A detailed explanation will be given at the time of the consultation.

Guide price

Starting from 2100. The actual package price will depend on the extent of surgery and the hospital you are treated in. This price includes the hospital fees, anaesthetist fees, the surgeon fees and all post-operative care including the dressing changes and consultations after the operation.

0% finance is available, arranged by the hospitals. Please ask for details.

BUCCAL FAT PAD REMOVAL

The appearance of the cheeks can be altered by careful removal of some fatty tissue from the cheeks. The cuts are made inside the cheek so there are no scars to see on the outside. This can be done either with numbing injections or under general anaesthesia. You can go home the same day. The swelling usually settles within a week or so.

The price starts from 1400. 0% finance is available through the hospitals - please enquire.

BROWLIFT

What is a browlift?

With time the forehead muscles and tissues become lax so that eyebrows start to get to a lower position, sometimes obstructing the field of visions. This can be corrected in a number of ways, by a forehead or eyebrow lift.

Which type is suitable for you?

This depends on how much correction is needed, whether any other procedures are being done and your preference in terms of scarring and recovery time.

Initial consultation

At the initial consultation I will perform a thorough examination and explain what technique is suitable for you. I will explain the procedure and recovery in full details including possible complications. I will also make sure you understand everything and answer all your questions.

The fee for the initial consultation is 100. I do not charge for any subsequent clinic appointments, before or after surgery.

Details of the operation

The operation is usually performed under general anaesthesia (you will be asleep). The scar is usually hidden within the hairline, in the eyebrow or in the upper eyelid, depending on the procedure.

Recovery and possible complications

You may need to stay in the hospital overnight, depending on the technique. I will arrange for the stitches to be removed in due course. There may be some bruising or swelling. You should avoid any strenuous activity for 2-3 weeks.

All surgical procedures carry a small risk of complications. For a brow lift the complications can be bleeding, infection, slow healing and minor asymmetry or under correction. A detailed explanation will be given at the time of the consultation.

Guide price

Starting from 3900.
